Arban & Carosi has been a frontrunner is the green initiative in both the architectural precast products and in our manufacturing processes. We will work with owners, architects and contractors to provide and maximize all benefits and credits that precast concrete panels can provide.
Over the last ten years we have made improvement to our plant and procedures in order to lessen our “environmental footprint.” With this initiative, we have improved our reuse of raw materials, increased our purchase of recycled content and built a “capture and reuse” finish system. Arban & Carosi is dedicated to providing the “greenest” precast from start to finish in the industry.
Moreover, architectural precast concrete can contribute toward LEED rating system in many ways. While LEED certification has six categories from which a project can earn LEED points, most of the precast points can come the Material & Resources category because of our use of local & recycled content. Almost all of our mix desgns include local material and our hardware steel, reinforcing steel, and cement all provide an amount of recycled content. Insulate “sandwich” panels can also be used to improve the R-value of the building skin.
